Aurelius Media started the way most good things do — not with a business plan, but with people asking for help.
Nearly two decades in media and production — university events, sports broadcasts, radio, church creative — has a way of getting around. The requests started coming in. Film my wedding. Make a video for my business. Shoot our brand. For years it was a side thing. But in fall of 2025, it became the main thing.
My name is Gus Simpson. I’m a recovering perfectionist who cares deeply about getting it right — and has learned when to let it be done. I work hard to understand what you actually need, ask the questions most people skip, and deliver work that marries your goals with my own eye for what makes something worth watching. I’ll bring my honest perspective to every project. That’s not always comfortable, but it’s always in service of the work.
Aurelius was my grandfather’s name. In Latin it means golden, and that’s the bar I hold my work to. Every project, every time.
